Simple terms for the Guitar Journey 4-Week Guitar Starter Programme.
The Guitar Journey 4-Week Starter Programme includes four 45-minute group guitar classes for the student booked onto the programme.
Starter groups are organised by age group and places are subject to availability.
The Starter Programme costs £79 per student and is paid in advance when booking.
If you book more than one student, the £79 fee applies separately to each student.
Your Starter payment is a one-off payment. It does not automatically enrol you into an ongoing monthly membership.
Your place is confirmed once payment has been successfully received and Guitar Journey has confirmed your group.
Please make sure the contact information supplied when booking is correct so we can send your class information and important updates.
Your booking reserves a place in a specific four-week group. Please arrive on time and attend all four sessions wherever possible.
If you miss a class, we cannot guarantee a replacement lesson, catch-up class, credit or refund for that session.
Occasionally we may need to change a teacher, class time or other programme arrangement.
If Guitar Journey has to cancel a class, we will arrange an appropriate replacement, alternative or credit where applicable.
Students should normally bring a suitable guitar to each class.
If you do not yet own a guitar, let us know before your first session and we can help you work out what you need.
We want students to make genuine progress during their first four weeks.
If you attend all four Starter classes, follow the practice plan provided and do not make clear progress during the programme, contact us after your fourth class to discuss our Progress Promise.
Where the conditions of the Progress Promise have been met, we will refund the £79 Starter Programme fee for that student.
The Progress Promise is an additional Guitar Journey guarantee and does not affect your statutory consumer rights.
At the end of the Starter Programme, you may be invited to continue learning with Guitar Journey in one of our ongoing groups.
Continuing is completely optional.
Any ongoing membership, including its price, payment frequency and applicable terms, will be explained separately and requires your agreement before ongoing payments begin.
Purchasing the 4-Week Starter Programme does not automatically start a recurring subscription.
Children's classes are taught in age-appropriate groups. Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring children are safely dropped off and collected at the agreed times.
Parents do not normally remain in the teaching room during the class unless this has been specifically agreed with Guitar Journey.
We want Guitar Journey to be a friendly, safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
Students are expected to behave respectfully towards teachers, other students, equipment and the venue.
If you book the 4-Week Starter Programme online, you will normally have a legal right to cancel your booking within 14 days of the date you make your purchase.
To cancel, please email [email protected] and clearly tell us that you wish to cancel your booking.
If your programme is due to begin within the 14-day cancellation period, you may ask us to begin providing the programme before that cancellation period has ended.
If you ask us to begin providing the programme during the cancellation period and then exercise your legal right to cancel after lessons have started, we may charge a reasonable proportion of the programme price for the services already provided, where permitted by law.
If Guitar Journey cancels your Starter Programme and we cannot provide a suitable replacement or alternative, we will refund the amount paid for any part of the programme that has not been provided.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or replaces your statutory consumer rights.
The Guitar Journey Progress Promise is an additional promise from us and is separate from your statutory cancellation and consumer rights.
We use the information you provide to manage your enquiry, booking, lessons and our relationship with you.
This may include sending essential booking confirmations, class information, reminders and service-related messages by email, SMS, telephone or other appropriate communication methods.
Information about how we collect and use personal information is explained in our separate Privacy Policy.
Marketing communications are treated separately and you can opt out of marketing where applicable.
